Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is Eletromidia’s decision-making body responsible for the general direction of the Company’s business and its long-term strategy. It is also responsible, among other attributions, for formulating and monitoring the Company’s general policies, and for appointing and supervising Eletromidia’s directors management decisions. In accordance with Brazilian Corporate Law, the Board of Directors is also responsible for hiring independent auditors.

The Company’s Bylaws establish a number of 7 directors, with 2 (two) or 20% (twenty percent), whichever is greater, of independent directors, as defined by the Novo Mercado Regulation. The members are elected and removable at the General Shareholders’ Meeting, with a unified term of office of 2 (two) years, reelection being permitted.

Eletromidia’s Board of Directors current members were elected on the Ordinary General Meeting of 04/29/2022.

Fernando Marques Oliveira

Mr. Marques Oliveira is the Head of the H.I.G. Brazil & Latin America Fund. With 25 years of experience in the Brazilian and Latin American private equity market, he has led more than 70 successful investments in the region in various sectors. Before joining H.I.G., Fernando was a partner at General Atlantic, the Head for Brazil & Latin America and Member of its Global Council. Prior to that, Mr. Marques Oliveira spent a number of years at Icatu, a leading Brazilian family office, where he was a partner and Head of Private Equity & Illiquid Strategies.

Débora Mayor Vizeu

Debora holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and Bachelor of Laws from the University of São Paulo. She works at Eletromidia S.A. as a Member of the Board of Directors and at H.I.G Brasil Assessoria de Investimentos Ltda as an investment professional. Prior to that, she worked as an investment and mergers and acquisitions professional for an investee of Pátria Investimentos and Ártica Participações e Assessoria Financeira Ltda.

Manuel Luis Roquete Campelo Belmar da Costa

Mr. Manuel Belmar is the Chief Financial, Infrastructure, and Legal Officer of Globo Comunicação e Participações S/A since 2020, and he have a strong background in media, banking, and finance businesses. From 2009 to 2019, he worked as the Chief Financial Officer of Globosat, and starting in 2017, he also held the position of Chief Operating Officer, encompassing responsibilities for Technology & Engineering, Advertising Sales, and Digital Transformation. Belmar began his career at Banco Real and in 1987, he joined Banca Nazionale del Lavoro in Italy as a Commercial Director. In 2003, he joined the Globo Group as the treasurer of Infoglobo and later became the Chief Financial Officer, eventually being appointed as the CFO of Globosat in 2009. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Canal Brazil and represented Globo with Sky Serviços de Banda Larga Ltda. until 2020 and 2022, respectively. To this day, he remains a member of the Advisory Board of NBCUniversal and represents Globo as a partner with Telecine.

Fabio Isay Saad

Fábio holds a degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas de São Paulo (EAESP/FGV), in Law from the University of São Paulo (USP), an MBA from the Wharton School and a Masters in International Studies with a focus on Latin America by the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. Born in Brazil, he is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Director of H.I.G Brasil, Fábio has more than 10 years of experience in the Private Equity market in Latin America and other emerging markets.

Tiago Branco Waiselfisz

Tiago holds a BA in Economics from the Federal University of Pernambuco / School of Economics. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Eletromidia S.A., Desktop S.A. and Office Total S.A. Before joining the H.I.G. in 2016, he worked at Rio Bravo Investimentos, as Private Equity Associate (2014 to 2016), at Grupo Ser Educacional as Valuation and FP&A Manager (2014), and at Ernst & Young, as Valuation Senior Consultant (2011 to 2014).

Luiz Felipe Costa Romero de Barros

Luiz holds a bachelor’s degree in Advertising from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and has executive extension courses from ESPM and the Institute for Real Growth. Mr. Luiz has over 15 years of experience in Marketing and is a reference in the areas of Transformation, Data, Digital and Media. He has worked at Fbiz, Acxiom and Philip Morris International, where he held Director positions in the areas of Digital Strategy, Digital Transformation and Innovation. He was an entrepreneur and sold his stake to multinationals in three companies, such as Digital Stars (acquired by Webedia) and Viber (acquired by Rakuten). He has also worked as a Board Member and Consultant at several companies such as Bernoulli, Zettle, Jovem Pan and Voxus. He currently holds the position of Vice President at Inbev and was recognized in 2014 and 2016 by youPix as one of the most influential people on the Brazilian internet, in 2020 by Ad Age as one of the people under 40 who are transforming Marketing in the world and in 2021 by the Leadership Excellence Awards as the main global reference in Data & Analytics.

Paulo Racy Badra

Paulo holds a degree in Engineering and Chemistry from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. He worked at Engenharia Badra, went through several areas until he took over the Financial Directorship and Presidency, where he remained until 1993. He founded Eletromidia in 1993 and served as Director and President until 2015, when he was elected a member of the Company’s board. The performance of Mr. Paulo was instrumental in the technology development and deployment of digital media in OOH in Brazil. He was president of the Association of Electronic Panel Companies, later serving as Vice-President and President of SEPEX Sindicato das Empresas de Mídia Exterior (out of home media).
